Malibus, Muffaletas, and Moet

Mike and I celebrated our three year anniversary on May 18. Since the actual 18th was on a Monday, we celebrated all weekend, and it was so much fun. Earlier this month we spruced up our patio with a new conversation set, fountain and lights as an anniversary gift to ourselves.

On Saturday we had a lovely dinner at Chester's and I received beautiful roses at work on Monday. The highlight of our weekend though was finally getting out on the boat and spending an afternoon in the sunshine on Sunday. It was truly a SUNday Funday, and Mike and I have the sunkissed (read: burnt) skin to prove it.

We set out on the Malibu with a picnic of Muffaletas and Moet and it was lovely! The Muffaleta is one of my favorite 'lake food' recipes. You assemble this giant sandwich the day before, wrap it up, let it sit over night, and then dig in the next day. Yum!

The Moet was a really special treat. Mike received the bottle at his graduation party in December, and we were just waiting for an appropriate reason to drink it. We drink a ton of champagne in the Kuchinski household (weekly), but we've never been treated to Moet. And boy, it was a bubbly treat.

It was the simplest, most relaxing afternoon yet one of the best anniversary gifts! We soaked up the sun, some bubbles, and some great memories together.
