About me

Hey there! I’m Sasha. Welcome to my blog based out of the ‘Air Capital of the World.” Looking up to see a large jet overhead is a pretty common sight here in Wichita. I love driving to work as a jet zooms over my sunroof, or sitting on my patio watching airy white jet trails cut across the pink Kansas sunset. It’s one of the very cool things I’ve come to love about living in Wichita.

That’s really what this blog is about – enjoying the view. I’m a seventh generation Kansan, so I may be a bit biased, but life here is pretty great. On this blog I chronicle all my favorite things from traveling, food, fitness, decorating, books, podcasts, throwing a great party, and life in the Air Capital.

I graduated from the University of Kansas with degrees in journalism and political science. I loved KU so much I came back to work for them in 2016 in their Office of Admissions. I also keep busy with my favorite hobbies-turned-side hustles of teaching group exercise and writing for The Wichita Eagle, Wichita Magazine, and the popular home decorating site, Houzz. I love to write, cook, travel, read, and decorate. I'm happiest running, being with my family, drinking bubbly, watching classic movies, laughing at The Mindy Project, and eating pesto straight from the jar.

I live in the Wichita area with my husband Mike, and maltipoo Missy May (both make frequent appearances on the blog).

I hope you enjoy the view from my flyover state as much as I do. I’m so glad you stopped by.
